Berea Theological University College started as the Church of God Foundation Bible School in Mufulira, Zambia on January 10, 1977.
To prepare men and women for Christian ministry in the church and community. BTUC is dedicated to carrying out this mandate in obedience to the Great Commission and fully committed to the spiritual, theological, doctrinal and ministerial emphases of the Church of God.

BTUC is a Private Higher Education Institution. We are GOVERNMENTALLY registered as a University College by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) of Zambia (hea.org.zm) to offer ACCREDITED programs.
BTUC ACCREDITED learning programs are registered by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (www.zaqa.gov.zm) as Qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) which have met the INTERNATIONAL standards and requirements for registration. The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Zambia to develop and implement a National Qualifications Framework to ensure that standards and registered qualifications are internationally comparable.
In addition, we are certified by the Church of God Division of Education (USA) as a degree granting institutions with oversight from Church of God (churchofgod.org) as a ministry of Church of God World Missions (cogwm.org).
